The First of February:
a rust sky divides
heaven and earth
The Second of February:
all appreciate
the vent's flatulence-
mine is also warm
The Third of February:
low/mid-class Americans
and free Denny's breakfast-
like flies to shit
The Fourth of February:
at the window
mom looks past the snowfall
for the school bus
seeing snowflakes fall
e'er so lightly
hearing an elegy
The Fifth of February:
stars are hidden
behind the sunlight
The Sixth of February:
high school theater troupe
trying to be supportive
eyes grow heavy
The Seventh of February:
a night
at the movies
at home

the work of th
